Five of the morbid leaflets which linked Andrew Jackson with the unjust execution of American soldiers in 1815. These were among the most memorable attack ads of their era, but did not succeed in keeping Jackson out of the White House. Includes 5 of the 7 known leaflets also issued under the cover "Monumental Inscriptions": "Sacred to the Memory of John Harris"; "Here Lies Jacob Webb"; "Whatever was Mortal of Henry Lewis Reposes Within These Bounds"; "These Marble Walls Enclose the Remains of Edward Linsey"; and "This Marble Cell Contains the Mouldering Remains of the Gallant David Hunt."
